Crate size by grown weight
Crates are sold by length. Pupsize estimates your puppy's adult weight, takes the top of the range, and picks the length from the chart below. Use the crate's divider panel so your puppy has a snug space now, and move it back as it grows.
| Grown weight | Crate length | Typical dogs |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 25 lb | 24 inches | Toy and small breeds |
| 26 to 40 lb | 30 inches | Smaller medium breeds |
| 41 to 70 lb | 36 inches | Larger medium and smaller large breeds |
| 71 to 90 lb | 42 inches | Large breeds |
| 91 to 110 lb | 48 inches | Very large breeds |
| Over 110 lb | 54 inches | Giant breeds |
